Yannick Carrasco opens door for Arsenal move after revealing he wants return to Europe from ChinaMarch 25, 2019
YANNICK CARRASCO has put Arsenal on alert as he issued a come-and-get-me plea, hoping to seal his Europe return this summer.
The Gunners tried to sign the Belgium international in January, but failed to agree a loan fee with Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.
The former Monaco and Atletico Madrid star, 25, has been in superb form for Dalian, scoring 10 goals and adding 9 assist in 27 games.
He has bagged three in the first two games of the Chinese Super League season, which kicked off earlier in March.
But since moving to the Far East 13 months ago, Carrasco’s international career has faltered making the winger consider a prompt return to Europe.
But Carrasco hopes they will come back around this summer offering him an escape route, which could allow him to regain his place in the Belgium squad.
He said: “I would love to return to Europe. A lot of clubs were interested in me.
“We tried to find a solution in January that would enable me to leave Dalian Yifang.
“But I can understand the club’s thinking. They wanted me to stay.
“I still feel OK in China. But I have lost my starting place in the Belgian national side.
“This can happen with a team of their quality.
“With the level of competition there will always be times when you don’t get to play a lot.”

But he sit out the 3-1 victory over Russia and played just 25 minutes against Cyprus, with the Red Devils already leading 2-0.
Carrasco also missed two international games last November after Chinese authorities seized his passport following a training-ground clash with a Dalian teammate.
