How old is Richard E. Grant and is he related to Hugh Grant?
Richard E. Grant was born May 5, 1957, in Mbabane, Swaziland, which makes him 61-years-old.
The star was actually born Richard Grant Esterhuysen and adopted his stage name upon registering with Equity. This means that he has no relation to BAFTA-winning actor Hugh.
Richard studied English and drama at the University of Cape Town before moving to London in 1982 to pursue a career in acting.
He has been married to voice coach Joan Washington since 1986 and the couple has one daughter, Olivia, together.
What films has the Hang Ups actor starred in?
Richard rose to fame for playing the eponymous lead character in 1987’s comedy Withnail and I.
He received further recognition for his role as John Seward in 1992’s American gothic horror Bram Stoker’s Dracula alongside Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, and Anthony Hopkins.
However, more recently he is best known for his roles as Dr. Zander Rice in the 2017 superhero film Logan and Izembaro in the sixth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones.
In July 2018, Lucasfilm confirmed the former Downton Abbey and Doctor Who star Richard would appear in the as of yet untitled Star Wars: Episode IX.
