Author, 50, says women over 50 are too old to love – and he prefers ‘extraordinary’ bodies of 25-year-oldsJanuary 8, 2019
A FRENCH author has been slammed for claiming women aged over 50 are “invisible” to him.
Yann Moix revealed in an interview that it’s “not possible” to love a woman his own age, revealing they’re “too old”.
“Come on now, let’s not exaggerate. That [over 50] is not possible … too, too old,” he told Marie Claire.
“I prefer younger women’s bodies, that’s all.
“End of. The body of a 25-year-old woman is extraordinary.
“The body of a woman of 50 is not extraordinary at all.”
As expected, the comments did not go down well online and the author has been slammed on Twitter with hundreds of users voicing their opinions.
One wrote: “I am quite amused in fact that @MrYannMoix who is a tired looking, unattractive 50 year old man, would feel the need to warn women of the same age to not attempt to seduce him.”
While one man said: “Yann Moix is an idiot. My partner is over 50 and a more beautiful woman you couldn’t find.”
Another joked: “Thousands of women under 50 say they couldn’t love Yann Moix if it wasn’t for his money. Take the blinkers of Bonny Lad and step into the land of adults.”
While one man explained: “I’ve dated many beautiful women in their fifties and in my opinion, given my experience, you don’t know what you’re talking about #YannMoix.”
Other users posted images of celebrities over 50, like 52-year-old Halle Berry who appeared at the Golden Globes last weekend looking effortlessly beautiful.
Speaking to RTL radio, the author and presenter responded: “I like who I like and I don’t have to answer to the court of taste.
“50-year-old women do not see me either.
“They have something else to do than to get around a neurotic who writes and reads all day long.
“It’s not easy to be with me.”
