Spurs head to Catalonia for Tuesday’s do-or-die clash with Barcelona level on points with Inter Milan in Group B.

And Mauricio Pochettino’s team would be wise to avoid giving Messi dead-ball opportunities.

At Espanyol, he hit a whipped free-kick from the edge of the area to give Barca the lead.

Dembele struck a curling effort to send the Catalan club two ahead in the local derby.

And Suarez scored from a tight angle to ensure the victory and see Barcelona lead La Liga by three points.

Messi scored from further out to complete the victory with his 17th goal in as many games so far this season.

Tottenham go into the game equally well-prepared.

Pochettino’s team beat Leicester 2-0 at the King Power Stadium with Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen rested for much of the game.
