Jose Mourinho jokes Manchester United are saving money for January with no water at press conferenceDecember 9, 2018
JOSE MOURINHO is ready to make a splash in the January market by joking that the club are cutting costs to hand him a transfer warchest.
The Portuguese boss could finally afford a smile and a joke after his Red Devils fired four past rock-bottom Fulham.
And as he headed to speak to the media, he made a brilliant quip that showed he has not lost his sense of humour amongst all the pressure.
Looking towards the microphones on the table he said: “No water? Are we saving money for January?”
Mourinho made it no secret over his disappointment at the lack of funds available from the board in the summer.
He failed to sign the central defender he so desperately craved and now wants the club to stop their penny-pinching and give him the cash he needs to strengthen.
