Arsenal face major crisis in central defence after Mustafi limps off in win over HuddersfieldDecember 9, 2018
ARSENAL are suffering a crisis in central defence after Shkodran Mustafi limped off in the win against Huddersfield.
The German was forced off the field with a hamstring problem on the hour mark and was replaced by Nacho Monreal who was also making a comeback from injury problems.
He now joins fellow central defender Rob Holding on the treatment table.
And Sokratis will also miss the next league match against Southampton after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the 1-0 win over the Terriers.
It has left boss Unai Emery scraping the barrel for central defenders ahead of a hectic festive fixture schedule.

Monreal was making his first appearance since October with niggling hamstring problems while Laurent Koscielny has only just returned to training after rupturing his Achilles seven months ago.
Koscielny was on the bench in the 1-0 victory over the Terriers but was clearly not fit enough to replace Mustafi in the second half.
