IT’S NOT going to be a very merry Christmas for Kat Slater in EastEnders when she finds out that her husband Alfie Moon is the father of cousin Hayley’s baby.
Kat – played by Jessie Wallace in the BBC soap – is determined to have the perfect family Christmas and it gets off to a great start with Alfie going all out to make the day special.
Jean Slater is delighted when Ian Beale joins the family for Christmas dinner and Alfie is focused on winning Kat back.
But when a shocking truth comes to light his plans come to an abrupt halt.
Amongst all the chaos, Hayley’s mum Bev outstays her welcome and – after being rude to Hayley – is slung out but Kat.
As tensions rise, Alfie – Shane Richie – feels hopeless and makes the huge decision to leave, but Hayley stops him in his tracks – what has she got to tell him?
But before they get the chance to put their plan in place, a dramatic chain of events leads to the shocking truth being exposed to Kat and the entire family – Alfie is baby Cherry’s dad.
Kat’s world is well and truly turned upside down by the revelation and the truth leads to some shocking consequences that no one could predict.
As the day goes on, it is utter chaos at the Slater house and the events leave the family in shock.
Faced with an impossible situation, those involved struggle to keep their emotions under control and tensions soon reach boiling point.
But just when it looks like the situation is under control, things take another unexpected turn.
Will the Slater family ever be the same again?
