The Key Difference Between the Kendall and Kylie's Face BeatsNovember 5, 2018
When it comes to the Kardashian-Jenners we know one thing for certain: everyone in the family is glam. But, if you look closely at their makeup when they take selfies, each has a signature style for their face beats. The youngest of the clan, Kendall and Kylie, posted a selfie on Kylie’s Instagram account on Sunday, October 28, proving just this fact.
Some key points: celebrity makeup artist and Kardashian-Jenner beauty pro go-to Mary Phillips also posted the shot to her feed, so we know her magical hands created both looks or the photo. Another essential: the styles may be tonally the same, but they possess some very distinct unique qualities.
Take Kendall. The supermodel’s brown eyes are defined with a haze of warm camel-hued eyeshadow blended up to the crease and below her lower lashes, but the rest of her eye makeup is relatively pared down. Her lashes are long and separated, but Philipps took care to not use any harsh lines. Kylie’s eye’s on the other hand, while swathed in the same eyeshadow, has an inner crease highlight as well as a defined cat eye.
Similarly, the way the sisters’ brows are groomed is different. While Kendall’s are brushed up and natural, Kylie’s are perfectly filled in to cut-to-Instagram perfection.
All that said, their face beats do have one thing in common: light contouring around the nose and a soft peachy flush on the apples of their cheeks.
Also for their pouts, Kendall’s lips are painted to perfection with a warm nude pink with the center of her mouth slightly lighter. While her lips are lined, the effect is soft — as if her liner has been blended into her lipstick. Kylie’s signature pouty pout, by contrast, is lined with a slightly darker lip liner and her lipstick is a deeper nude.
