Declan Donnelly and wife Ali Astall enjoy rare date night together after birth of newborn baby IslaOctober 26, 2018
DECLAN Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall have been pictured taking a night off from parenthood as they enjoyed a meal out in Richmond.
The couple welcomed their first baby, Isla, in September and like most new parents relished the chance to have a rare date night.
The pair were seen leaving Italian restaurant Q Verde in South West London.
The date night comes shortly before Dec is due to fly out to Australia for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The TV favourite will be joined by Holly Willoughby in the Aussie outback as his usual co-host, Ant McPartlin, continues with his break from the spotlight after seeking help for alcohol and drug addiction.
The Sun Online previously revealed that Ali and Isla will be jetting out to Australia for the six-week stint to ensure that Dec doesn’t get homesick.
A show insider explained: “It would have been impossible for him not to see Isla for six weeks as he’s besotted with her.
“He’ll be spending all his spare time with them at a hotel nearby.”
Announcing his daughter’s birth last month, Dec shared a sweet photo of Isla clutching his finger.
He captioned the snap: “Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, dad is head over heels!”
Ant soon broke his social media silence to publicly congratulate his best friend, tweeting from the pair’s joint account: “Welcome to the world baby Isla Elizabeth Anne. Can’t wait for cuddles. I love you already!! Uncle Ant xxxxx”.
It was reported that Ant was the first of Dec’s friends to meet the newborn – jetting home from his Italy holiday with girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett to see the baby.

A friend told us at the time: “Ant couldn’t wait to see Dec and Ali – and baby Isla of course.
“It’s a dream come true for them all and everyone is completely besotted.”
Ant and Dec have been best friends since they were 13 years old and met on the set of Byker Grove.
The pair went on to enjoy a lucrative career together as actors and singers before becoming a beloved TV presenting duo.
Despite Ant pulling out of I’m A Celebrity, and the live Britain’s Got Talent shows earlier in the year, the two men are as close as ever – with Dec supporting his pal as he battles his demons.
